Welcome to Ashoka The Great Cuisine of India
Ashoka was a descendant of the great Mauryas, who ruled India in the second and third century B.C. His regime extended from 273 to 232 B.C. He diverted all of his energy to bringing peace and happiness by spreading the word of Buddha; after that he was know as Dharam-Ashoka. The imperial policy was expressed and inscribed on pillars which were known as Seven Pillar Edicts. The Ashoka Pillar at Sarnath reminds us even today of his greatness. The three lions that adorn it, the "Dharma Chakra" has been adopted by the Indian Government as the device of its national Seal. Home | Menu's | Catering | Reviews | Directions | Contact Us |
